Chad Jacobsen, Chief Operating Officer and Courtney Hardison, General Manager of Hangry Horse Café, wanted to bring a unique café atmosphere to Downtown Superior. This trendy coffee shop offers an array of products including local ice cream, local coffee, and freshly made food that is healthy for the athletes and the community surrounding us. They opened the Hangry Horse Café in 2021 inside the Sport Stable–a family-fun sports center. The location provides the opportunity to offer more than just coffee and snacks. Customers can also enjoy the spectacular views, jump in on a Pickleball game, or learn how to ice skate. Customers love the service Hangry Horse provides, and the facility has a comfortable homey feel thanks to the smiling and familiar faces of the “superior” staff. 

A locally-owned business, Chad and Courtney love how strong the community within Superior is, and they said that “seeing everyone come together after the pandemic and Marshall Fire has been so inspiring.” Their hope is that Downtown Superior explodes with local business, outdoor areas, and a central location for everyone to come together.

Chad and baseball coach, Daulton, created a new sport one night in the dining room of HangryHorse called Bucket Ball. It is a simple game involving Pickle Ball paddles, a bucket and of course some tough competition! Many a night in Hangry Horse people compete against each other for the Bucket Ball Master Title. Next time you are in Hangry Horse Café, look for Chad or Daulton and ask them to teach you how to play! “A truly Superior sport, Bucket Ball was created in the dining room of Hangry Horse.”
