Superior Business Spotlight: Blue Federal Credit Union

More Than Just a Financial Institution

Blue Federal Credit Union is a unique financial institution that places its members, employees, and community at the heart of its service delivery and product innovation. Blue was originally chartered in 1951 as Warren Federal Credit Union. The organization grew and inspired members over the next 65 years until the opportunity came to merge with a successful Colorado-based credit union with nearly 50 years of history and growth, Community Financial Credit Union. In 2016 the two credit unions came together to become Blue. Whether saving for a car, house, retirement, or investing back into the neighborhood, Blue proudly offers personal and business accounts with complete financial services to assist in making their members’ dreams a reality.

What sets Blue Federal Credit Union apart from other financial institutions is its investment in providing exceptional service to its members and community. Blue has a dedicated team of mortgage, investment, and banking experts who work alongside members to help them achieve their financial goals. The credit union also has a business team focusing exclusively on partnering with businesses to help them grow and succeed.

Blue’s dedication to its members extends beyond financial services. What matters to you matters to them. Blue is passionate about making a notable and measurable impact by deepening local relationships with organizations, leaders, and other businesses that positively impact and grow the community.  The credit union even rewards its employees for their volunteer time and has an annual celebration for the employee who contributes the most volunteer hours. Additionally, Blue is a member-owned cooperative and believes in people pooling their money together to help each other and their community. When you bank with Blue, you invest in yourself, and that fuels the dreams of others too.

This credit union decided to open a new location in Superior to provide convenient access for members; however, the purchase and remodeling of Blue’s new location in the Superior Marketplace was delayed due to the Marshall Fire. Despite the setbacks, the credit union remained committed to locating in the area and supporting its employees who live here as well as the broader community. Blue is honored to be a part of helping community members as they rebuild from the fire; and is excited about the new partnership with the Sports Stable, which will allow them to build even deeper community partnerships while collaborating on celebrating sporting events, getting outdoors, and living your best life.

To celebrate the opening of its Superior Marketplace Branch, Blue is offering promotions available only at the Superior location through March. Interested parties can stop by or check out their website to learn more about these opportunities. Visitors are invited to enjoy a cup of coffee, tea, or cocoa at the hospitality station and chat with Blue representatives about the right path to reach their financial goals.

In summary, Blue is a credit union that prioritizes building relationships with its members to help them achieve their financial goals while giving back to the community through volunteer work and partnerships with local organizations. As a community connector, Blue’s heart and its truly cooperative spirit connect and inspire the communities they serve. With this commitment to exceptional service, member-owned structure, and dedication to community involvement, Blue is more than just a financial institution.
